Thanks for visiting my website. My name is Michael Wardlaw and I set up my independent driving school 20 years ago in 2003.
I am a highly qualified and experienced driving instructor providing manual driving lessons in Perth and Scone.
You will be taught by myself which allows me to provide you with a personal professional service and if you are a nervous beginner, don't worry - I will keep you safe and get you driving confidently. Please see my Testimonials page. There is also a photo of me on my Gallery page.
I have written a book on learning to drive which is designed to speed up your progress in passing your L test. I also hold the top 'A' Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency grading for my instruction as well as many advanced driving instructor qualifications in addition to the basic one (see My Qualifications page). I work hard for my pupils and use the latest coaching techniques to help them learn as quickly as each of them are able to. My aim is to provide you with a high quality service so you can drive safely and confidently for the rest of your life. You will be benefitting from techniques and a practice schedule I have developed over the last 20 years which will maximise you chances of passing the test. This can be seen in my FIRST TIME pass rate being extremely high - over the last 15 years it is 94% compared to the 45% national average.
Once you have passed your test, I am registered to instruct 'Pass Plus' lessons which will give you experience of motorway driving as well as a large reduction in your car insurance.
With my advanced qualifications I also provide refresher, motorway, advanced and fleet (for pupils who drive as part of their work) driving lessons.
You will be taught in my 19 plate manual Ford Fiesta which has dual controls for your safety and air conditioning for your comfort. It's a great car to learn in. You can see it in Gallery and find more details about it in My car.

Driving Theory test:
Don't worry about this - I will provide you with help and advice which will get you through the theory and hazard perception test.

I can start driving lessons from school then finish at your home in Perth. And for driving pupils who live outside Perth, I can start and finish lessons from a location in Perth which is convenient to you such as rail and bus stations/stops, park&ride or even supermarket car parks.
